All applicants must apply in person to fill out a brief application and receive required application materials.
A $50.00 application fee is required. Payment can be check, money order or cash. (Please make check or money order payable to ABC Keystone Chapter.) The Application Fee is non-refundable. If an applicant is currently employed by an ABC Member, the employer can be invoiced for this fee.
Applicants will be given a questionnaire, information sheets to complete, textbook, and study guides to assist in preparation for the placement exam. Applicant must bring all paperwork back when they come to the Placement Exam.
- Come to the ABC building at the date and time assigned to you.
- Please arrive about 10 minutes prior to the time of your appointment.
- You may bring a calculator to use during the math test.
Those with a score below 80% on any of the four test areas will be required to re-take those tests. In addition, applicants scoring below 80% on any of the four tests will be required to take a Reading test to determine their reading level and ability to locate information in a paragraph. Remedial instruction will be provided to those needing assistance in this area.
Applicants are required to submit this list of additional application materialsat the time they have their math test and interview.
Applications will not be considered until all steps are fully completed. Materials turned in after the due date will result in points being deducted from the applicants ranking score.
Applicants will be ranked by their placement exam scores and other materials submitted during the application process. Applicants will be accepted into the apprenticeship training program in the order of their rank, as openings become available. Applications will be kept on file for two years.
