FIELD ENGINEERING 

Participants will gain confidence in the proper way to:

  • Prepare field notes
  • Work with transits and levels
  • Look for common errors and how to eliminate common field mistakes
  • Refresh basic math skills related to layout work, by
    • Performing math checks to minimize or eliminate errors
    • Setting proper grade points
  • Chose and use the right equipment for each task
  • Complete layout work

 
Field Engineering is a combination of classroom and field instruction, which includes good solid hands-on experience.

Training is made up of five, 2 1/2 hour sessions.

Offered twice a year – Fall and Spring.

Who should attend:  Anyone new to the industry or anyone seeking to upgrade their jobsite planning and layout skills.
