Your company can receive recognition for your safety achievements by entering both the Chapter and the National ABC Safety Contests.
Using the free STEP evaluation tool, you will be recognized at a Gold, Silver or Bronze level depending on the number of points you score. Gold level members are encouraged to apply for Platinum level recognition through National ABC (Platinum level information is included in the STEP application).
Members reaching the Gold level will then be eligible to compete to win ABC Keystone’s overall Excellence in Construction Safety Award presented at the annual Excellence in Construction Gala. An award is given to both the top General Contractor and the top Specialty Contractor with over 50 employees, as well as to both the top General Contractor and the top Specialty Contractor with under 50 employees. STEP entries may be submitted year round. However, to receive recognition at the April Safety Awards dinner, they need to be submitted to the Chapter office in the late winter/early spring.
STEP Platinum Recognition
The STEP Platinum program is designed to provide special recognition to Gold level STEP members. To qualify for Platinum, a member company has to:
Achieve STEP Gold level for two consecutive years
Submit OSHA 300 summary log summarizing OSHA recordables
Submit statement from insurance company that supports STEP self-evaluation score
Submit application fee
Platinum membership provides:
Special certificate of recognition
Automatic application for ABC National Safety Award
Participation in National ABC’s promotional campaign
