Management Training Overview
The School of Management Training is being developed to provide both entry-level and advanced training in six different construction management career paths. The classes offered are designed to further the careers of individuals, such as supervisors, managers, and executives.
GLOSSARY OF TERMS:
Tracks - Career paths that are chosen by an individual. Tracks have specific course requirements that must be met in order to earn a certificate of completion. There are six tracks from which to choose:
- Field Management
- Project Management
- Estimating
- Financial Management
- HR Management
- Safety Management
Core Categories – General education classes that are skill or topic specific. These courses will benefit anyone participating in a Track or anyone who needs/wants additional training in a particular area. Currently, there are a variety of courses available within the four Core Categories:
- Communication Skills
- Leadership Skills
- Legal Issues
- Ethical Issues in Construction
All trainees have the option of pursuing an entire track program and graduating with a certificate of completion, or selecting individual courses a la carte, as needed.
In addition, a program for top company executives is under development.
