Legal Rights
ABC believes that employers have the right and
the responsibility to manage their firms free from coercion, restrictive
work rules, jurisdictional disputes, secondary boycotts, or artificial
restraints of any kind.
ABC believes in the free enterprise system and
works diligently to protect members’ rights so that contractors
can be selected on the basis of their qualifications and price,
without regard to their labor relations policy.
ABC Keystone provides tools to help you handle
the current legal climate affecting the free enterprise construction
industry in Pennsylvania.
Attorney Referral Service
As an ABC member, you’re entitled to free legal consultation
with an attorney who is an expert in the construction and labor
arena. The attorney can outline steps you can take to begin to resolve
your issue.
To take advantage of this invaluable member benefit,
please e-mail Stephen Swarney.

Legal Defense Fund
ABC Keystone’s Legal Defense Fund program is designed to assist
ABC members with legal cases where the outcome would set a precedent
for the free enterprise construction industry.
To apply, an ABC member must submit an application
to the Chapter’s Legal Rights Committee. Upon the committee’s
recommendation, it would proceed to the Board of Directors for final
determination.
