The ABC Construction Rodeo
The ABC Construction Rodeo benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Merit Shop Scholarship Fund is held annually in September. The Rodeo is not only constructed to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Scholarship Fund, but also to promote awareness of the construction industry and to showcase the talents of various craftspeople.
The 12th Anniversary Construction Rodeo will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the ABC Keystone facility near Mount Joy, PA.

The Rodeo is a fun-filled day for families, complete with free parking and free admission! Clowns, face painting, balloons, games, and door prize drawings can be found all throughout the day.

Events for kids include:
Girls and boys bike drawing, coloring book contest, peg driving contests, remote controlled skid steer, pipe fitting, excavating, bridge building and an aerial lift ride.
Professional events include:
Backhoe, carpentry, crane, drywall, electrical, excavator, painting, plumbing, rough terrain forklift, skid steer, truck and trailer driving, wheel loader and tug-o-war.

How can you be involved???
1. Volunteer your Time:
Once the rodeo starts at 1:00 p.m. we need about 100 volunteers. It is recommended that you sign up in 2 hour increments. Volunteers are needed to help at the registration tent; at children’s activities; and other public events.
No experience is needed! View a volunteer sign-up sheet.
2. Donate Supplies and/or Door Prizes:
Food items for the food trailer (a grocery store gift card is perfect!); one young girl’s bicycle and one young boy’s bicycle; and film for Polaroid cameras. The Rodeo also gives out door prizes to the public - company logo items, child’s games or toys.
3. Be a Sponsor:
Various levels - $2,500; $1,000; $500; $250 and less. Sign up to be a 2008 Construction Rodeo sponsor!
4. Be a Contestant:
Show your skills! All contestants who place in the top seven in the event will win $$$! Contestants must be members of ABC Keystone. View a 2007 Contestant entry form.
