OSHA Partnership
Better health and safety for construction workers is the goal of a new strategic partnership launched by ABC Keystone and the U. S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
A key goal of the partnership is to increase the number of ABC member companies in the association's Safety Training and Evaluation Process (S.T.E.P.) - a voluntary program that guides employees in evaluating and increasing the effectiveness of their safety and health programs, policies and procedures. Other objectives of the partnership include reducing injuries from falls, struck-by and caught-in mishaps and electrocutions, and mentoring S.T.E.P. applicants to move from Bronze to Platinum, ABC's highest S.T.E.P. award level.
Safety Services Program
With this program, ABC members will receive a one-hour FREE
consultation with a safety professional who will be able
to answer questions on anything from how to design a safety program
to providing critical OSHA information. The safety professional
will be able to:
• Provide you with answers to your basic
compliance questions as they relate to OSHA regulations,
• Provide direction on program development and process,
• Provide input on risk control in the construction environment,
• Give information on where to obtain additional information
and services.
If your company is facing a safety-related issue
that you need additional help with, please contact Sherry Evans or call the Chapter office, 717.653.8106.
